About Us

We offer access to professional guidance to haptic-sensorimotor developmental experiences at the clay field to therapists, educators, and mental health professionals. We combine individual intuition with professional expertise, using phenomenological perception as a starting point.

We have set ourselves the goal to fundamentally develop the therapeutic guidance at the clay field and make it comprehensible.

We teach our approach to clay field therapy through Relational Clay Field Therapy® which is based on addressing and naming references, and relationship building through movement.

We use Haptic Loop® to underpin our approach, to develop appropriate learning materials and make them available, provide various training courses and organise events for professional exchange.

We use barbos® to give impulses for network building. We offer an umbrella for those who want to shape health sustainably and in a collaborative way at the clay field. Professional exchange on eye level is a central element of their professional image.

Our path is shaped by our belief in people as individual and social creatures at once. We want to share that in our trainings, our workshops, and within our therapeutic work. We are concerned with the self-acceptance which makes us empathetic, and which possibly leads to solidarity – an anthropological three step as conditio humana, which does not abolish the duality between me and you but integrates it. This perspective teaches us that a new point of view is not only a developmental milestone in childhood, but a basic prerequisite for a new dimension of human interaction. We derive our resource-oriented view from salutogenese and focus on healthy parts as well as to work towards a new balance. That way meaningful action is possible, competence becomes a lived experience, and we are filled with joy of being with others.

We have been working together since 2016.

Our work together is complemented through our individual work in our own practices and in adult education.

Dank

We are grateful to Heinz Deuser for his more than 50 years of research of human processes at the clay field which resulted in the description of haptic experiences. Without his Work at the Clay Field®, there would be no development of Relational Clay Field Therapy® which is therapeutic guidance at the clay field. We studied with him from 2013 to 2017 and were in touch with him about the work until 2021.

Cornelia Elbrecht popularised the clay field internationally from Australia and established the link to Peter Levine and Somatic Experiencing. She inspired our independence.

Barbara Osterwald popularised the Work at the Clay Field® from Munich in Europe and implemented trainings in French Switzerland, France, and Belgium. She founded the Barbos-Stiftung and is largely responsible for making Work at the Clay Field® available for disadvantaged children and teenagers. She keeps advocating human interaction, between her colleagues and in her promotion of Work at the Clay Field®. She significantly supported our professional development and that of the Relational Clay Field Therapy®. We are still in close contact with her.
